Anyone ever have success useing helicoils in the midsection for the lower unit fasteners? I have recently purchased this Engine with the two forward port and starboard sides bolt threads striped out and not sure if the helicoil will do the trick IE corosion!!! Any suggestions would be helpfull thanks Jim D

We've used them with no problem as long as they're installed correctly. Also used Keen-Serts and done the weld, drill & tap deal too.
