97 Merc 120 jet - won't start after kill

ran the boat fine for 3 hours...back to the dock...pulled the tab out of the kill stop instead of keying off the engine...<br /><br />engine will not restart...cranks but will not fire...<br /><br />bypassed kill switch...same thing...<br /><br />is there a reset? did i fry the expensive little black box?<br /><br />any help is appreciated<br />thanks<br />-Pete

kill switch is normally open and goes to ground when you pull lanyard? i think. have you checked for spark? were you stopped and at idle when you killed it? if not you may have sucked water into cylinders.
