I hope I have this one in the right section. I am working on a 97 sea ray with the 4.3 ltr V6 and thunderbolt ignition. They were out on the lake last week and the engine just died and now won't start. I coldn't get spark so I replaced the coil then the cap and rotor and then the sensor inside the distributor(crank sensor?). Is there away to check the control modual that is mounted behind the distributor? This is the only thing I can think of that we haven't replaced.

Thank you,

Paul

Make sure the voltage at the positive side of the ignition coil is within 1/2 volt of battery voltage with the key on. If the difference is greater than 1/2 volt you have a significant voltage drop. If there is no voltage you need to check fuses, wiring, etc. No test for the ignition module as far as I know. And that is one expensive guess if that does not turn out to be the problem.
