97 Yamaha 115

Ok simple queston, does the male pigtail from the Oil ijection with two wires have to be pluged in. It has two wires in it, green/red green/black.
I was wondering if this could cause any isues not being pluged in.

nope, will run fine with it unplugged.
you wont have any tach visual indicates.

Hey thanks for the reply Rodbolt.
That will narrow My problem down alot, Did a motor swap which was running fine and now it only seems to want at half the speed or drops back to half after a short distance. Im thinking maybe temp related. Its a jet outboad that was on a flat bottom jon and now on a tunnel, Maybe not cooling enough. I will try and take it back out and take the temp sensor out and see if that fixes the problem. I have a new h2o impelar coming in tommarow.
