Bringing this one back to life. Rebuilding the carbs have the carb kits. How on earth do you remove the needle valve bearing ? Can I presume that the old one is OK? What is the lead shot on the top of the carb for? Thanks

I usually thread a small screw into it and pull it out.
The lead shot is used to seal a drill passage and normally not removed for a carb overhaul.
You should remove the core plug on top of the carb and clean the tiny passages in there.

Daviet, Thanks, Just curious about the lead shot, thought it might be a way to remove the needle valve bearing. As far as the NVB goes I will try your method.
