Check your manual and see how it should be stored. Different engines,different ways.Or buy a stand and keep it vertical.<br /><br />Just NO fun getting the oil out so they run again.<br /><br />DHP

Nothing in service manual.I dont have aowners manual.

I think those need to be stored with the spark plugs up or on one side, but I don't remember which side, sonofjohn. I always stored my '96 9.9 on a stand.<br /><br />You need an Owner's Manual. Four strokes are not as simple as 2 strokes. . .not by a long shot.<br /><br />Give us the model number and go to kencook.com to order an Owner's Manual.<br /><br />Good luck, and welcome to iboats. :)

kencook has the exact manual you need...also clymers manual's are good. gotta have them !
