'98 Evinrude 175 (carbed) bogging down.

It starts and idles great. Hammerdown and top end is fine. But with it idleing in gear, if slowly give it a little gas, it shutter, bogs and shuts down if left there. Re-starts fine and will repeat. hammer down and off she goes. It is just that mid range from idle. Planed off, I can run midrange just fine. <br /><br />Any ideas?<br /><br />thanks,<br />Dayton

Not sure about your particular unit but it could be the off idle/primary metering circuit, or idle air bleed in need of some attention. Might be able to richen up the idle mixture enough to hide the issue.<br /><br /> Check the link and sync ignition/throttle relationship and timing first.
