Hellow all i have a question about the slow speed needle setting on my 98 intruder, carb rebuild went well no fuel running out of the carbs engine saeems to run fine, today it was nice outside so i decided to dial in the slow speed needles in my large hourse watering trough. I let the moter warm up well and adjusted the slow speed needles on each carb one at a time till the moter sneeses or misfires than backed them out a little till i had a somewhat smooth idle , i proceeded to put it in gear momentarley to see if it sneesed at all , i did not was very smooth gave it a little throttle burst very responsive. Now i let it cooled down about a hour started it up it sneezed a couple of times than it idled well should i leave the slow speed needle settig alone or richen it a little or is this the norm after setting the slow speed to run smooth at normal engine temps. Thank you

Lean sneezing isn't something that you want to continue. Richen the needle a bit and see if the sneeze goes away. If not, you might have to re-clean the carbs.
Any chance you have some air getting into the fuel system? If air gets in, you will get a hiccup/sneeze.

I think those screws should be 3 - 4 turns out from a soft set.

Depending on the model # the initial screw setting should be 5 to 5 3/4 turns.
