98 johnson 50 hp alarm prob

Ok so i have a motor that cannot get the alarm to stop going off. Its a 1/2 sec alarm around every second that goes faster as the rpms go up. Was thinking it was low oil or blocked line. tried new tank, vro and control. Nothing took the alarm away, it goes off after 3 mins of running. can disconnect the vro plug and goes away, plug it back ina nd 3 mins later back on. Any sugestions would be awsome.also checked all grounds and power supply and all were good.

Could be the sender switch inside the oil tank but this is a guess. You sound confident that the vro pump is working correctly, I'm one of those that still doesn't trust the vro system so don't go the bank with my advice here.

If you say the vro is new it's then posssible you might just have a bad horn. Another thing that could do it is high voltage in your charging system.
