98 Johnson 70HP 3cy. 2 stroke

Just bought this motor on a boat took it out and was very pleased on how it started and ran good power. Was wondering is this a decent motor and do they have problems that I should be looking for. It is oil injected.<br />thankyou

The 3 cylinder loopers are decent engines Len. Good response to throttle and a smooth running engine. I don't know of any particular problems with these engines that don't occur in others. Get a service manual and read the front section on care of the engine and it should serve you well for years to come....providing you take care of it.<br /><br />Good Boating!
