Engine would start and idle perfectly running on water hose. Put boat in the water and only wanted to start with high idle and would not idle without high idle. Was able to quickly shift into gear from high idle and go forward but never got above 15 mph. Talked to local boat shop and he said to unplug the idle stabilizer. Unplugged the idle stabilizer and boat starts much easier but still requires some throttle. Boat does not idle right though. Seems like it smokes more than it should and isn’t smooth. Motor will idle for about a minute before it dies. Starts right back up but only with some throttle. Idles good enough to gently put it in gear. Once in gear I’m able to run WOT and it seems to run perfect. Reading an old forum, it seems this module can be eliminated but that there are timing adjustments that need to be done...? The old forum said they were also eliminating the detonation module...? Should I just replace my module or is the common practice to start deleting modules?
