98 vp 130hp 4cyl

I'm going to go look at a 98 glastron 175se says new jasper motor 4hrs this year boat only has 94hrs, new exhaust intake manifold,has a gas/water seperator,130hp with the pentax outdrive.... just wondering what to look for...should I be worried about a rotten floor? just wonder why all that was new....think maybe had some water in boat.... just wondering what people would think

It probably wasn't Winterized,+ Froze, then Cracked...

I'm not familiar with the volvo drives. I had a merc I/O before, I was wondering if there is an impeller in the drive or just one on the engine. I know everyone says the volvo drives are bulletproof.....Thanks for the help

Assuming you mean the Volvo SX drive, no pump in the drive. Always engine mounted.

just got back from looking at this boat... the starter and motor were replaced bc the boat had filled up with water while the bilge plug was in..water was past the front seats... not sure if the floor is made of all fiberglass or wood, but I am seeing red flags and was just wondering if the floors on a 98 boat were wooden or fiberglass and also how the motor mounts and transom would hold up with a lot of water
