98' 4 stroke 25 hp: I am so sick of taking this carb off and cleaning out the tiny, tiny pinholes in it every time it sits in the sun for a week....wondering if I could do a carb swap for a more user friendly motorcycle mukuni, or something else if can make a manifold for it--they're doing that all over the place with Yamaha Virago motorcycles (1 carb replacing 2) because of the crappy stock carbs....OR...is there a newer carb being put out, maybe the 2010 model that doesn't have the problems of the old carbs? Everything I've read (and seen) says that the many , tiny passages in my carb are a big problem, even the smallest bit of matter messes things up--TRUE!! Does anyone else have this problem with this motor? (yes, i have all new lines, new tank, use Stabil, Enzyme, mid-grade low ethanol gas) I have 8 other small various machines with 4 stroke carbs on them, and I've never seen anything like this thing.
