'99 115 hp merc. with 400+ hrs

I am looking at a pontoon boat that has a '99 115hp Mercury motor with over 400 hrs on it. The owner states that the motor has never been abused, starts up well and is tuned up each spring.

My question is: Is 400 hrs alot for this motor and it is probably in need of work soon, or is it okay for awhile?
