I have a 1999 Johnson 130. It will max out at 4500 RPMs, sometimes it will go to 4700. On occasion, a few times per outing, it will serge up to 5500+ RPMs (according to specs it should run at a max of 5500 RPMs), it may hold there for a few minutes then drop down to steady 4500-4700 again. <br /><br />Plugs and inline gas filter have been changed, low end timing checked, all cylinders seem to be firing at high speed (I put a timing light on it and all were firing).<br /><br />Any ideas are very much appreciated?
