Repowering and ran the rigging today(s115 tlrx). I do not have the yamaha digital guage. I have not hooked up the tach yet. Hooking up the remote oil tank causes alarm with key-on. Pulling the remote sensor showed that the float in the down position caused the alarm to turn off...in the up position, alarm turns on. I have read a few of the Redbolt posts on the alarm system (sw1-3, swb) and have done the following.

-remote sensor acts essentially as a switch for the alarm!?! (when float up/on, alarm rings; when down, alarm goes off).
-Alarm persists despite disconecting the harness at the engine oil sensor.
- i drained the engine tank to inspect engine oil sensor, it looked to be in good shape. when I hooked things back up, engine oil tank filled itself right up to the top line and stopped.
- when i ohmed the remote oil sensor it appeared to be working (closed/on with the float up).
- inspected harness from remote tank to engine. No breaks/corrodes.
- inspected harness from engine oil tank. nothing wrong

I thought the remote tank could only cause lights and not an alarm and weird that the alarm turns on when the tank is full and off when the tank is empty (float down). It makes me think there is a problem with ECU :( Any ideas??

thanks!!
