9th Circus Court rules...Blacks and Hispanics too stupid to vote.

In a landmark ruling last week the 9th Circus Court rules that punch card ballots are too confussing for minorities, thus pushing back the recall vote. This enlightened logic fails to address the underlieing problem that the same punch card devises that discriminate against the votes of the dissinfranchises were the same machines used to elect Gov Davis in the first place. When asked if this would in effect negate Gov. Davis re-election, a spokeperson for the Ninth Circus stated, "I'll have a half caf latte....what was the question?"

Upon notification that he was too stupid to use the punch card ballots, one South Central LA resident responded "Beeotch Pleez!" and fired an undetermined number of 9mm rounds into our field reporter.

The Del Toros issued a press release regarding the use of misleading ballot casting methods, outlining thier dissapointmen in the system, and the promise of the American Dream. Del Toro spokesman Jose Jesus Gomes Gabriel Angel Ramirez-Smith finished by saying "Ah mang, you in my turf, now you gotta pay the toll....." and fired several rounds into our other field reporter.

When notified of thier Court revealed innability to cast votes vote for thier desired candidate, a small band of Compton residence protested by burning ther homes and businesses, sparking the immediate mailing of checks from the federal government to rebuild and correct this terrible injustice.

One day I might write for the Onion :)

Purely political. There is no other answer.

But, The court jesters may be biding some time so that the "new" illegal alien license holders can learn how to use the punch card system.

The court said no such thing. Confusing is confusing. No genetic labels required.

Typically liberal (mis)interpretation.

Re: 9th Circus Court Rules.....

In thier ruling they cited a study performed in Palm Beach that showed that minorities were confussed by the punch card ballots, but not nonminorities. I have used these devices, how much more simple can it get. Insert card, find candidate, punch hole. I think what the 9th Circus would prefer is for voters to show registration card and poling place volunteers to place votes straight down the Dem candidates and legislation.

A quick review of the rulings of the 9th Circus shows that they MUST believe that minorities can't:

A) Get a job on thier own merrits, they strongly support quotas and affirmative action

B) Vote, they cite a bogus study to support the supposition that minorities are too stupid to puch the right spot on the card (punch cards are part of the Vast Right Wing Conspiracy (thanks Hillary for comming up with that one :D

These are just two examples that would enfuriate me if I were a minority under thier jurisdiction.

Re: 9th Circus Court Rules.....

The biggest farce in the Florida vote counting problem was the "pregnant" chads. The real truth about a pregnat chad is the attempt to use a punch to push out "chads" on multiple voting cards at the same time. Punching out a single card is quite easy, anybody can do that. When the same voter tries to poke out the chads of mutiple stacked ballots in a hurry, some will probably become hanging chads and some pregnant, thus verifying voter fraud activity. A pregnant chad is one that only leaves an indented mark.
Don't forget there were many votes thrown out from a number of polling places, due to "OVER" votes.
I suspect Calipornia will have a rash of "Pregnancies" this election.

...Bob in Calif...

I, being a white male, am "officially" a minority in Maricopa County (Phoenix Metro).

I do not believe I am the "minority" that the 9th. Court is writing about. The border is not being flooded by Swedes, Germans, Japanese and Brits. We all know WHO they are, we just can't say it. It's not PC.

Why is Illegal Alien such a BAD statement?

I'll throw this in. Our Gov. Janette Napolitano (a.k.a., "Gas Can Jan") has jumped on the giving illegals drivers licenses bandwagon.

It's all about votes.

If "they" are REALLY minorities, why are politicians pandering to them for votes??

Makes you wonder :D

"Minority" is just a name that stuck. Plus it rings of an oppressed people.

Politicians pander because it is a great untapped vote source. Now that that they are getting some pesky laws out of the way, such as citizenship, they can promise the world to them in return for votes.

Re: 9th Circus Court Rules.....

For the record, After the last California election, the California election comission, in preparing for purchasing new election voting machines, decertified and mothballed all of these punchcard machines. They had no notion they would be needed before the next scheduled election.
It is illegal and unconstitutional to use uncertified machines in an election, and these are now uncertified. The court ruled correctly, IMO, and simply followed the law.
Whether they were used in the past is simply irrelevant. They cannot be shown to be accurate now, and they cannot be recertified. They no doubt were not accurate then either.

The court followed the law, as they are sworn to do. Just because the law may be inconvenient to your politics does not give judges the right to ignore it.

Plywoody,

"Your politics" is a slap in the face to the people of California.

The California constitution allows for the recall of their governor. The "people" of California, followed the rules, got the petitions signed and did everything they were supposed to do.

Now, politics has enterted the picture and is trying to thwart the will of the people and the rule of law.

If you do not think the 9th Court is biased (remember this was only a three judge panel) than you have not followed the antics of these three in the past.

Re: 9th Circus Court Rules.....

As of this year, whites became the minority in the entire state.

We all know WHO they are, we just can't say it. It's not PC.
Why is Illegal Alien such a BAD statement?
Maybe when the race is being disrespected and blamed for a particilar problem. Along with exagerated negative assumptions? Rather then the lack of education and financial resources of that race?
What if the same race has many legal immigrants that are being thrown into the same catagory of the illegal ones?
Educate me here, because I'm not to stubborn to learn.

The court followed the law, as they are sworn to do. Just because the law may be inconvenient to your politics does not give judges the right to ignore it.
No plywoody they did not!
They completely ignored the California Constitution as it states that the recall election must be held within X (forget how many offhand, 70 days?)amount of days. They completely disregarded what is written and made an abstract ruling. Those machines can be made ready (recertified)in time!

Is this another example of a liberal language that has to ask what the meaning of "must" means?

Re: 9th Circus Court Rules.....

Race has nothing to do with it. Yet, it's the liberals that call you a racist if you point who the preponderance of the ILLEGALS are.

I can drive down to my local Home Depot and approach any group of twenty or more people standing around to get work and ask:

Can I see your ID? Can you speak english?

The answer to both is: NO!! Guess why, the are ILLEGAL ALIENS!!!!

There wasn't one: oriental, white, hispanic, or black terrorist that hijacked those planes on 9/11.

Yet, to this day, we CANNOT target the TYPE of individual that has been undoubtedly identified as participating in terrorist activities.

Why is that?

The reason is that we are afraid to discriminate. We have been so brow beaten by the PC patrol that we dare not to. Yet, we all know.

Call me a racist if you want. However, when I get on an airplane and see a middle eastern man between 20 and 40, I watch him like a hawk. And so is every other passenger.

If the government, whose only real constitutional job is to protect its citenzenry, won't do it, then it's up to the citizens to protect themselves.

Common sense would discriminate against anything illegal. As it should profiling a particular race for known illegal activity.
(I forgot that this is getting off topic though.)

I fully expect the 9th circus to be overturned (again). If it doesn't, you guys are really going to be in for some entertainment!

Subject: Profiling

To ensure we Americans never offend anyone, particularly fanatics intent on killing us,- airport screeners will not be allowed to profile people. They will continue random searches of all passengers.

Let's pause a moment and take the following test.

In 1972 at the Munich Olympics, athletes were kidnapped and massacred
by:

(a) Olga Korbut
(b) Sitting Bull
(c) Arnold Schwartzenegger
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages 17 and 40

In 1979, the US embassy in Iran was taken over by:

(a) Lost Norwegians
(b) Elvis
(c) A tour bus full of 80-year-old women
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40

During the 1980s a number of Americans were kidnapped in Lebanon by:

(a) John Dillinger
(b) The King of Sweden
(c) Homophobic Boy Scouts
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1983, the US Marine barracks in Beirut was blown up by:

(a) A pizza delivery boy
(b) Pee Wee Herman
(c) Geraldo Rivera making up for a slow news day
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1985 the cruise ship Achille Lauro was hijacked, and a 70 year old
American passenger was murdered and thrown overboard by:

(a) The Smurfs
(b) Davy Jones
(c) The Little Mermaid
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1985 TWA flight 847 was hijacked at Athens, and a US Navy diver was
murdered by:

(a) Captain Kid
(b) Charles Lindbergh
(c) Mother Teresa
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 was bombed by:

(a) Scooby Doo
(b) The Tooth Fairy
(c) Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid with dynamite left over from the
train job
d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1993 the World Trade Center was bombed the first time by:

(a) Richard Simmons
(b) Grandma Moses
(c) Michael Jordan
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40

In 1998, the US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania were bombed by:

(a) Mr. Rogers
(b) Hillary, to distract attention from Wild Bill's women problems
(c) The World Wrestling Federation to promote its next villain: "Mustafa
the Merciless"
(d) Muslim male extremists mostly between the ages of 17 and 40

On 9/11/01, four airliners were hijacked and destroyed and thousands of
people were killed by:

(a) Bugs Bunny, Wiley E. Re: 9th Circus Court Rules.....

Plywoody has a good point regarding the certification of the machines. I didn't know they were "decertified", I'm not even sure I know what that means :D But if they were certified at one time, why couldn't they be recertified? And why mothball these machines before they get new ones in place?

If there is no other option, I think it would be better for them to use post-it note and a ballot box than for the court to circumvent the will of the electorate.
