Have a 2005 DPS-M, changing bellows on it, and should do bearing also, as have no idea if it was ever done. Are there 2 different kinds? This has the tube and external grease fitting, is this what it should be replaced with? I thought I heard about guys replacing with a sealed one, and removing the tube and plugging it? Anything else to change? What about water supply hose? Just the one o-ring where drive bolts on?

You can go either way. If it where me, I would put a greaseable one vs the other one so you're able to grease it from time to time. The newer SX-A drives come stock with the sealed bearing. Now next question is does the bearing need to be changed? If there has been no water intrusion and the bearing turns smooth and makes no noise it's fine. My last boat had almost 800 hours on it and was 12 years old when I sold it and it had the original gimbal bearing in it.
