A few guages aren't working, help?

Hello,

We just bought our first boat last weekend. We knew a couple guages weren't working, one of which is the tach. Someone suggested here that it may be a fuse issue or a bad ground.

We checked the fuses and they seem to be intact, not sure where to go from here. Would love to see if we can fix this ourselves instead of taking it to a mechanic for a hefty bill.

Any advice? Please dumb it down, thanks!

You said a "couple" of gauges weren't working. Since more than one is not working, that implies a ground or +12 volts missing. It is definitely not a fuse issue because none of the fuses in the fuse panel are for the gauges. That fuse is in the engine harness.
