for those that have followed my many other post thank you for all the help.

I got my engine rebuilt and running, adjusted timing to 8 BTDC and idle around 650-700. It was running nice and smooth. Valves were a little noisy so i took off risers and valve covers and adjusted them. Put everything back together and it ran like sh**. Took everything back apart thinking i had a valve to tight and had water in exhaust and a little milky oil in valve area. I replaced riser gaskets during rebuild but not when i adjusted valves.

1. Is this most likely where water came from, riser gaskets.

2. How do you change the oil in a marine engine without making a total mess?

3. i have read the post about removing gimbal bearing and i am trying that tomorrow because of a roar in the rear. Is there a post about installing the bearing.

If this is a roller cam ,you torque to 20Ft/lbs ,you do not adjust.

Changing the oil is easy enough, just a little different than you're used to.

If there's no room for a drain pan or bag, you can get a pump at most marine stores for around $20-30.

It's a 12v pump with a small tube that goes down the dipstick tube. Turn the pump on and it will pull 5 quarts out in around 5 minutes. Seems to work better if you run the engine for a few minutes first to warm the oil.
