My boss just took in a authentic Chrysler sterndrive for repair. This is not a relabeled Volvo,This is something I have never seen before, bolted up to a nice 318.A little tweaking and I made it work. Are there any others out there?

Yea I got one on my CV223. Built it out of 3 broken ones. New parts are next to impossible.

Re: A for real Crysler sterndrive,

They were built from 1978 to 80. It uses a cone clutch in the upper unit. The controls (I think there Morse) dont have a reverse lock out, So you can be cruising along and go to stop, pull back to neutral a little too far and go directly into reverse. Ouch. <br />Rodbolt, You got that right. Of course I like it when my wife puts the leathers on and punishes me for being "bad"...

Hondon, Check out this website for Chrysler boat owners. www.chryslercrew.com They have parts available OR info on where to get parts. They also carry shop manuals for the Chrysler line of boats. There is also a Thursday night live chat with other Chrysler boat fanatics.
