I am a 1 week old first time boat owner, and I had questions about motor bogging and water flow and you guys had the knowledge and advice to set me striaght on all my issues, I cant thank you enough. the power of this forum is worth its weight in gold. Thanks again from my whole family,

The Carters,

Chris, Denell, Gabby, Corbin

( p.s. we agreed on a boat name today "JOYRIDE")

It's always a pleasure to help a new boater, particularly where a family's fun is involved. I've been involved with boats for over 50 years and learn something new everyday on this forum. All good guys and very knowledgable.

I agree with you - these folks have helped me out so many times. What lake do you frequent the most? We hang out on Shawnee Twin Lakes - not too many boats and usually fairly calm waters (excluding those stupid PWC's - "jetski punks"

OkieBoater,

We keep our boat out by t-bird, but it is sooo busy. How is twin lakes? How much does Shawnee charge for a yearly pass etc... Going out to Ft. Cobb for the weekend. I would have to say Lake Murray between Marietta and Ardmore is my favorite. Have a safe 4th!

SS182

i too don't like t-bird, way to busy and gets my boat all dirty (red dirt stains). i always freak out when my kids are skiing, tubing or wakeboarding there - afraid they are going to get killed by those idiots out there on jetski's and the power boats. twin lakes are good, not real big but plenty of room with not a lot of boats. annual pass is only $30. without a doubt, lake murray is the best. we spend a week down there every year, the entire family loves it and hates to leave.
