Next project replacing the floor in my 1969 Elgin 16ft fiberglass v hull
the floors where soft in 4x4 area when i bought her i plan to replace the sole(floor) when fist bought the boat it is not big area of the floor and the string so far seem to be solid.
but this my first floor replacement, i plan to use stand ply wood ( ANY NO RIGHT THICKNESS: 1/4 ,1/2,?) AND FIRST COAT THE PLYWOOD WITH SHLACK
TO WATERPOOF .
I WAS THE THINK ABOUT INCASING IT (BOTH SIDES AND CORNERS) WITH FIBERGLASS NO MAT.
NEXT INSTALL IN HOLE AREA AND SCREW TO STRINGS THE COVER SEEM WITH
FIBERGLASS.
ANY THOUGHTS , SUGGESTION, IS THIS OVER KILL?
