Well, after promising my wife that I would install the new sink, fixtures and garbage disposal in the Kitchen for the last six months, this was the day.

Concidering that this is a mobil home, and none of the plumbing is house like, is was a major project. Even had to remodel the cabinetry to make the sink fit right. Well, after about 3 1/2 hours, I now have it all done to actual house standards, and Im her hero. I did the bathroom about 4 months ago and got rid of the plastic sink, you have to love all this trash they put into mobil homes.  I guess its cheap so you can get into housing resonably, but give me a break on some of this trash.

It was a beautiful day out today also, Id rather been boating or anything but what I actually did. Looks great though.

Way to go, LD. :)

Not all "manufactured homes" are built with cheap stuff. Many makers will build you one to your specs, but you have to pay for them.

Mine was built to my specs and the price was just over twice the "base" price. Just replacing all of the fixtures, cabinetry and appliances with first class stuff added nearly 10 big ones. Then we got to stuff like R-20 walls, R-40 roof and floor, thermal pane windows, metal roof, 1/2" cushion under top grade carpet. . . the list goes on.

You can build "stick-built" homes cheap, too, with the same stuff that goes into cheap, entry level "mobiles".

Its about a 200 mile round trip, But I have an ACE Hardware store just down the street. :D Which I did have to visit twice durring the project. It is just one of those things in life, you "NEVER" have everything you need when you are plumbing, NEVER!

I have everything I need, I call it HomeDepot. :D
I redid the bathroom tub area that was a garden tub. The walls and surround were basically falling apart and the tub had a hole in it to boot!
Now its a Jacuzzi tub. I can post a picture if wanted :)
It took me three weeks. And 1500 dollars but the guestimate was 3000-3500. And I have a few new tools too. :) I even got the mastic trowel and will use it to spread the glue for my carpet in the boat. LOL
