ok i am new to the boating world bought my first boat two weeks ago.
it is a 1992 rinker 181. i have a little spot of deck rot where the cover for the motor area is. after looking it over carefully it looks like a have a 2inch by 2 inch section of the deck where it is covered by the motor cover. looks to me like they didnt wrap glass over the sides and where the carpet rolls over the deck in the bilge are is where the rot starts. is ther something that i can get to slow the rot down or stop it from speading. there is not rot anywhere else that i can tell and i have been really trying to find some more over the last two weeks.

Welcome to the Dry Dock.

If the rot is just that small of an area, (and can be) then sure you can just cut that out, back to solid wood, replace that small area with new plywood and glass it back in.
