Hey new to the site and the boat game in general, i was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. Ive recently recieved a boat as a wedding gift, its a 1957 cadillac coronado, there are a few things about it that seem abnormal to me but i dont have much knowledge of classic boats... For starters its a left hand drive, also the bottom is copper plated... I am interested in finding out as much as possible about this boat as i am trying to decide if its a hobby im interested in or just looking to sell, in which case i have no idea what its worth... Any help would be much appreciated, thanks in advance...

go to fiberglassics dot com , they have a library there that may have info on your boat ,and they are more knowledgeable about the old boats.
hope this helps

Looks like a nice boat. Love to see pictures.

Interested in what the copper bottom might be.

Aluminum and copper being dissimilar metals are going to be a problem.
Never use pressure treated wood on an aluminum boat, pressure treated wood is treated with a copper based solution and will cause the aluminum to develop pitting and holes.

The copper is probably an anti-fouling paint. However, as said above, copper and aluminum are a really bad combination.

Might be anodized in a gold color, giving it a copper appearance. Not uncommon back in the day.

She could be a Caddy with a Gold Package like they used to do to cars to jack up the price by the dealer. I hope it isn't copper-based anti-fouling paint.
