bummer

1st place to start at.
all the questions yer asking (and you have a lot) can be found in the oem service manual. it's a must have item to service your drive/engine package. you'll probably need two s/m's. the drive is 14, pick and choose to find your engine app... ya can find a s/m in the adults only section at the top of the i/o page.
after ya read that, the specifics can be answered individually.

You sure did F U Those bolts have to come out, don't lose the springs and fiber washers under the bell housing. If you took the bolts out of the transom shield remove both sides and reseal or you're going to have a searious leak.I would recommend that you get a FACTORY service manuel !

put the bell housing bolts back in and remove the two bolts and remove your outdrive then the front mounts at the stringer. then it should pull out. the flappers you will replace when engine is out.

Click Here for the complete OEM service manuals for both your engine and outdrive.
You will need #18 for the engine, and number #14 for the drive.

Ayuh,.... Either Here at iboats for Sierra aftermarket parts, or your local / on-line Mercruiser Dealer for the OEM stuff....
