Hi Guys, was wondering if someone could tell me which model outdrive I have. I just bought the boat last fall and it's my first boat so I'm kinda new to this. It's on a 1971 starcraft chieftain with a mercruiser 165 i6 and the outdrive is a mercruiser as well. I believe it's a pre-alpha model, however I don't know for sure and want to order a new impeller kit for it since I don't know the last time it's been changed. If it is a pre-alpha, I was hoping someone may be able to point me to the correct terminology because most sites that I find don't say "pre-alpha" on them.

Thanks in advance for your help . . .

That's because most sites know what they are talking about. Any site (or person for that matter) who uses that term should be completely ignored... (Personally, I'd like to see them put against a wall and shot!!!)

Have a read of this and see what we mean... -> http://forums.iboats.com/mercruiser...ve-needs-help-go-down-597987.html#post4160821
