so i finally got around to getting the transom out of my 17' fabuglass (floors been out for a while), i got into it and what did i find? a carpenter ants nest. not really surprised as this is ideal for them, damp wood, security, etc.
well i'm glad i got that out of there. hell of a time getting the last bit out, but almost there.

Interesting, I found a nest made by something under the seats in my old tri-hull one time after it sat for too long. I moved it into the garage after that. Smart critters must have wanted to go for a ride.
