A radioman on the USS Montana called on the radio "This is the USS Montana...We request you take a south course of 15 degrees to prevent a collision". A reply came back "Sorry we can't do that". So the radioman calls out that he must take drastic measures to change course. Again the reply came back ,,"Sorry we can't do that".
Finally the skipper comes on deck and sees the blip on the radar screen. Now it is the skippers turn at the radio.."This is the Commanding Officer of the USS MONTANA. This is the second largest ship in the North Atlantic Fleet. I demand that you identify yourself as I must consider the safety of my crew and will take drastic measures. NOW MOVE 15 DEGREES SOUTH!"
A reply comes back. "Sorry we cannot and will not change course,,,,,,,,,,THIS IS THE LIGHTHOUSE!
