A Question for vice admiral or some input

I was reading on a post NOT to have troling motor and depth finder on same battery.Is this the same as a fish finder? If not good What is the best way to run motor and fish finder?

Connect all electronics to the starting battery. If you don't have one then you don't have much choices unless you wanted to add another battery.

Some trolling motors tend to put electrical interference (noise) on the circuits it shares with other devices. If the device is sensitive to this noise, such as a radio or fish finder, that device may not perform properly. None of the devices will be damaged but they just have the electrical noise to deal with. This does not always happen but if it does the only solution is to put noise filters in the line to the affected devices or try connecting them to a different battery.

I had that very problem.
My solution was to power the fishfinder from a self-contained battery pack (8-D cells). Works A-OK now.
