after 45 minutes of searching the forum i decided to just ask if anyone can tell me which fuel pump to order to convert to a single line fuel tank on the 10 hp 57 sea horse. my father inlaw asked me to figure out how and order the parts and help him do it as his tank rusted out :(..... i found the 5.5 horse stuff but thats a bit different. if anyone could post a link to send me to an article about it that would be great too as im not coming up with a specific to his motor results or how to's. any info to get me ordering needed supplies would be great Thank you mucho!

I wouldn't use a Mikoonie on a 10hp. Get a fuel pump and bypass cover from a 1960 and later, and you're set. Chances are, you can drill and tap your original bypass cover to accept a factory fuel pump. No muss, no fuss, and it looks factory.

I'm having a hard time finding cover and pump from a 1960 or later. How much later? There's lots from 1993 up. If someone knows the type of pump or part # and same with the cover, and where to get them it would help so much. I keep coming up with nothing. The pressure tank rusted out I need to figure something out. Thanx again

Look on ebay and get a plastic briggs and stratton fuel pump for $10. It needs to be a three line pump (three hose nipples), one of which will be for the vacuum pulse.
I'll look for one and see if I can post a link. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Briggs-Stra...659?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item4d007527ab
Dang, it seems he went up on them ($19). I wish I'd bought about 3 of them when I could........

Try this.
A 1957 QD18-10hp
Upper exhaust cover - 301848
Gasket - 301847

A 1962 QD13-10hp
Upper exhaust cover - 301848
Gasket - 301847
Lower exhaust cover with fuel pump port - 308396.

It looks like you could use the lower cover off of a 1962 engine with the fuel pump mount already in it on your engine.
Then you could mount a 388685 fuel pump and plumb the fuel lines.

You might look in the "Top Secret File" at the top of the page and contact some of the salvage yards listed there, maybe they could come up with the parts for you off of a junk engine, make sure to use your model number so they know exactly what engine you have
