A sink in a speed boat....ugh

So my boat has a sink in it lol....in a speed boat, I dont get it. I'd like to "delete" it any thoughts?

Take out the faucet and put a cover on it. You now have a mini cooler with a drain.

I wonder maybe I could cover the entire top with SOMETHING and then install a bigger glove box?

Most likely it was done so the boat could be written off as a second home on taxes. If a boat comes with a way to prepare a meal and sanitary facilities it can be written off. My Rinker came with sink, one burner butane portable stove and pot-a-pot. I was able to write it off while making payments
