Just wanted to let everyone know that I successfully repaired a hole in the bow of my boat using fiberglass. The whole ordeal was rather easy after reading the instructions. I bought a kit at wal-mart ($7.77) to make the repair. I put two coats on and it turned out nice. Not bad considering I just about sank last Friday. I launched in too shallow of water and rammed the bottom of the bow on the trailer. I didn't think it was that bad until I went to move to a different spot and stepped down off my platform into 4 inches of water (and that was the shallow end)

Here's a good tip for you however. When applying fiberglass make sure you use some disposable gloves. I missed that part in the directions and spent an hour and a half trying to get it off my hands. I was successful but that's a lot of time to spend at the sink :D

Shane

I also launched in too shallow of water a couple of weeks ago...I have a roller trailer and once the boat got rolling there was no stopping it!

Thank goodness I didn't hit bottom or my trailer but it was so close I pulled the boat back out to check for damage...that was the worst gut wrenching episode I had thus far.

and to top it off, there were a few cars at the ramp watching boaters put in and pull out. Talk about embarrissing

Bobby
