i am a first class stone cold lock idiot... ive been whining about my 3000 rpm cutout for a good week to 10 days.
so i get back on the net and some good ol' research. type in 3000 rpm limit. a half hour, then an hour go by. finally i strike gold! a suzuki pamphlet on the new fangled technology, a 3000 rpm neutral rev limiter!!! WOW!!! i am a friggin genius. my chest swells with pride as i knock down yet another barrier of suzukis stupidity of engineering.

some person with more sense in his pinkie than my whole body shows me the light. my problem is the neutral rev limiter. how did this person a week ago tell me how to fix my problem i only discovered today?
because i cant read, because i cant comprehend, no. because im an idiot! not only is it the limiter or the plunger in the limiter not being depressed fully as lakensea so elloquantly described A WEEK AGO BUT ITS NOT EVEN THERE! i, me, myself cut the damn thing off last year to try and isolate an ignition problem. its rotting in my municiple dump as we speak with 1000's of tons of trash heaped on top. and those 2 cute little wires that were so unmercufully hacked off? they are twisted together and wrapped in black shiny elec tape. so not only did i replace my ignition switch to solve a problem my boat thinks its ALWAYS in neutral. unhook the wires and nothing. like it should. hook it back together and 13 mph and 2,999 rpm or pure bliss.
