This is true, and happened a few days ago:

A couple had their car packed with bags ond stuff for their vacation, and had their boat on a trailer. As they backed down the ramp, the trailer jumped of the hook, started to slide down the ramp. Wife jumping out to stop the trailer, but without luck. Man jumped after to help - forgetting the parking brake. Boat and trailer followed the ramp down, and into the sea, both firmly placed on the bottom of the sea. Car, without parking brake rolling down the ramp following the boat and trailer to the bottom of the sea. Just the top of the roof sticking up of the sea (salt water...)

A perfect start on a perfect vacation...

-M-

Well, I don't think it can get any worse for them. That there is a bad day

This is a true story; but it happened about 75 years ago. In summer, many teen age boys and girls would enjoy an afternoon on the beach at the Russian River; smoking cigarettes, and drinking beer; singing and laughing and telling jokes. The local sherrif came by periodically to be sure that we weren't drinking beer and smoking cigarettes.
One day he forgot to put on the parking brake, and the patrol car rolled into the river in about 10 feet of water...with the red light still flashing under water. Of course, we all clapped and split with laughter.
But we did dive down to attach the towing cable.
