This place is great! I actually used it to snipe an auction for me while I was watching a Saints game! It's called auctionstealer and it is totally free. It will snipe any auction for any amount you want at 10 seconds, and you pay if you want it closer than that, all the way to 3 seconds if you want to spend money. 10 seconds is fine for me.

www.auctionstealer.com

The ask for no information other than you making an account with them, providing your ebay username and password and then you copy and paste the item number, amount you want to snipe for and that's it. You're done. If you win, it will provide you a link to the auction so you can go pay. Pretty cool huh?

They even have a sniping tool that you can use with your browser for any ebay auction page. You just go to the ebay page, click "snipe tool" and it will snipe that auction for you.

Best of all it's free!!

10 seconds is totally free, you pay for 7 5 or 3. If you are at work or sleeping or away from a computer, it beats bidding 2 days in advance.

I wouldn't want to key my eBay credentials into a 3rd party web site. If you must snipe, do it manually or get a sniping program that runs on your own computer.

You're covered by Ebay for errant purchases.

Throwing away your mail without shredding it is much more of a security threat than a known, safe, secure website like auctionstealer.

I've used autionstealers free service for about 5 years without any security issues.

I've used esnipe in the past, mostly when I had dial-up, and was working/sleeping odd hours..
They snipe from their servers, which works even if I'm experiencing a power outage or isp failure.

Esnipe for me. And for those that don't like getting sniped, put in a bid that is the most you actually will buy something for and it won't matter and stop complaining..
