I know that Ford Festive was strong but I never would thunk it had the guts to pull that trailer!<br />To bad its tow rating is -0- LBs!<br /><br />I loved mine and never would have abused it like that and 40 mpg all the time. Only thing is is was so small I was always thinking I was a bug that was gonna get squashed!

Saw a guy at the ramp in Indian River try to pull out a 28 foot or so Boston Whaler with a Jeep Wranger. All four tires were spining and smoking. He finally gave up and asked for a pull when he realized he was gaining negative ground.

Realgun, my brother in laws are weightlifters. In the early 90's, they owned a festiva.<br /><br />I would break out laughing every time I saw them. Both are 6' tall or better and weighed almost 300lbs each. It looked like the clown show at the circus.

I ThinkI can top the weight lifter story. I'm a refrigeration Mechanic by trade, and by the nature of my job workingout of a 3/4 ton cargo van is a struggle at best, theres a local one man show here, and his srevice vechicle is a Ford Festiva. He has a ladder rack on it with a 25'extension ladder strapped to it, and the clncher is that he's close to 7' tall, and must weigh over 300 lbs. Every time I see him get out of it it reminds me of the Shriner Clowns and their mini cars.Its always good for a laugh.

They drove that little festiva for 10 years or so for their business. Even made trips from Mississippi to California.<br /><br />Now they own matching Lincoln Navigators.

That car was a renault 5 probibly a 1000cc 40hp<br />engine with a max tow of 500kg(1100lbs) my mate had one of those caravans and struggled to tow it well with a jeep chereokee (the caravan weighed 1500kg-2000kg)that guy was suicidal a stunt driver or even worse an englishman!! a fitting end to a caravan ,dont you hate getting stuck behind them!!?
