A weekend at lake sinclair

Well after a long winter mrseagle and I took the boat out this weekend she ran well (the boat),from all the storms we have had lake Sinclair was a little muddy but 80+ degrees was good with us,coming back to the house we saw a boat in trouble it was a canoe that had 2 guys and 2 girls in it I saw them when we were heading out they were close to shore and did not think much of it,but on the way back about halfway in the middle of the lake I saw a couple of heads swimming towards another boat then I looked to the right and just saw the top of the canoe and they were about 400 to 500 yards off shore.The girls got in the other boat that was there and we pulled the canoe into shore,I start to look around and see 2 people and 1 life vest (girls had theirs),water was still cold and they would have had a long swim, I could not believe what I was seeing,after everyone was safe the guys tried to get the girls back into the canoe but they told them they would meet them somewhere I imagine those boys don't have girlfriends today (lol) can laugh about it now.Those guys weren't very bright

Glad it was a good ending. There will be many more acts of needless stupidity to come I am sure. The season has only just begun !!!

Very dumb. I partcipated in a SAR for two couples in a somewhat similar situation (boat too small for the weather/distance from shore) about a year and a half ago. We found all four persons, but the two guys were dead.

Guess which two had PFDs on.
