Have a noise at about 1100 rpm, any higher or lower rpm noise is not noticeable. Just had drive re-sealed and new greasable gimbal bearing installed. Was losing a bit of gear lube every outting. Took drive back to shop and checked out A - Ok. However, mech did not run boat. What should I look for or how to check this 1100 rpm noise out? 2006 boat, and this is the 1st time ever hearing a noise.

Take it back to the shop, let them listen to it? re-sealing the drive shouldn't cause the noise, could be a lot of things, exhaust flappers, bearings on the belts, or a misfire, alignment.... the list goes on.

IDK.....But magically the noise vanished!!! The only thing I've done since is replace the prop and noticed fishing line around prop shaft which I removed. Probably nothing to do with the noise though.... But noise is now gone and have no idea where it went!?!

My guess is, it went away with the old prop. Out of balance or something that caused a vibration/harmonic at that particular rpm. If it's gone, it's gone. Find something else to worry about It's a boat. :joyous:
