I think I have determined (with yalls help) that I do have a fuel pump on this motor. It was even brought to my attention that the block is new too. I noticed today that there is a port on the lower right (if looking at the motor from the back of the boat while your pulling the heck out of it trying to get it to fire)that has been plugged, I assume that is were they use to plug in the "pressurized thingy" before it was converted.

How hard does the bulb need to get when you pump it???

I just bought a new tank and bulb and Im gonna try that, this is killing me.

Hi Spur

You dont have to press that hard. When you feel the difference between pumping fuel from tank to carbureator and something sudddenly blocks, the needle valve in carbureator,it is time to stop.

Can you feel you pump fuel to carbureator ? Are the spark plugs wet when it wount start ?

Re: AAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Got it running with a new tank, bulb, and hose. The only thing is when I push the choke in it tries to die and I have to pull it back out to keep it running.

Also the dumb question.....my vent on the tank is suppose to be closed right??? I hope so cuz I shut it and it ran with the exception of the choke problem

The vent on the tank has to be open.
