Fishing this weekend and 1979 50 hp merc ran fine for two days. Last trip it would not accelerate above a idle or it sounds like it is starving for fuel. Idled two miles back to boat ramp and checked bulb it was hard. Next morn it started right up but had to hit choke quite often to keep it running. When you push the lever forward of idle it as a motor sounds when running out of fuel. Cant find the fuel pump it is not like my 115 merc. I dont see how it could be a pump problem with the bulb hard and idling two miles. 4 cylinder with 4 coils still runs on all 4 cylinders. Any ideas will be nice. Thanks
