I will be heading up to Acadia Nat Pk in Maine the end of June and was thinking of bringing the boat 16ft Alum.Anybody ever been up that way? any fishing?
we have an ocean front campsite and there is a boat dock, it should be fun.

Re: Acadia Nat Park

Hi Radar. I spent quite a few summer vacations in Acadia National Park while growing up. From what I remember they are plenty of coves and inlets.

Ocean fishing on the website says no license needed. Be cautious of surf conditions. Seaweed and algae covered rocks are extremely slippery.

Frazer Point for mackeral when running.

Schoodic Peninsula for mackeral & bluefish, striped bass when running mid Jul-Aug.

It sounds like you can do lots of fishing without a boat but this site has charter links too.

Acadia National Park Visitors Guide
or
Fishing Guide

They will not allow motors over 10 HP in the Park itself.

To find the best fishing spots in an unknown area, we always hit the local bars or lodges. Word of mouth is always our best source.

Good luck and have fun, its a great place with lots to do.

Ladyfish has given you some great information. All I can add is that it's a beautiful place and with the temperature here already at 90+, wish I was headed there for some fishing myself. We also liked the town of Bar Harbor.

No, I'm across the bay from Mobile, which is as far south as you can go in AL. Gadsden is in the north part of the state. I believe Gadsden is in the only county in AL that did not secede from the union during The War of Northern Aggression.
