Is there any rule against adding an access plate on the upper bow of my boat? I have a '95 Skeeter 200SL Fish n' Ski, and I am having a heck of a time getting to my bow eye to replace the wood. I have a rubber mat adhered to the upper bow, and it covers the whole front unlike the one in the picture. Would it be ok to add an access plate where the pink 'O' is in the picture as long as it is watertight? That would make things a heck of a lot easier.

Re: Access Plate Install.

You could install a Tempress hatch the type that screws in. I have a few of them on my bass boat.
