Accessing the Fuel Tank

This may be a dumb question....but I don't see how I access the fuel tank to check or change the sending unit. I have a 1995 Caravelle Bowrider that was just rebuilt...stringers and transom. Engine put back in, and now my fuel gage doesn't work. I'm going to troubleshoot first using the method I saw on the "sticky" in the forum, but I want to make sure all the wiring/sending unit is hooked up also...

Can anyone maybe educate me...i'm still a newbie!

Re: Accessing the Fuel Tank

If there isn't an access hatch you'll need to install one.

Installing a full fuel tank hatch would've been a good idea when the boat was restored...

And typically where would that hatch be? On the backside of the stringer in the engine comparment...or in the floor?

Directly above wherever the sending unit is installed for the easiest access.
