Actual HP of 2001 Yammie 4st

I may have an opportunity to upgrade my old 93 Merc 100 HP 2st to a 2001 Yammie 100 HP 4 st. I heard that Yamaha made this a 90 HP engine soon afterwards without any changes. Am I downgrading the HP if this is actually a 90 HP engine ?

I doubt you'll notice the difference power-wise, assuming both motors are tuned and running well. The 90HP Yamaha should be smoother and quieter. good Luck!

The F115 replaced the F100 carb motor

So on the FI it is 90 and 115 because these are more popular sizes ?
