Add fuse to starter?

I am upgrading my main battery lines. I have seen some that have added a fuse to their Starter feed. it will add some protection to the run between the starter and the battery. Just wondering if anyone has gone down this path as well and what you used. I have the 5.7 Gsi PEFS.

Don't do that, a fuse between the bat and starter is not needed and would be maybe 300 amps

I watched some clips of dead shorts. If that cable shorts there is a very good chance of fire. Just trying to be careful. maybe I'm going overboard
