Here is my problem and what I would like to do.
I have a new to me 1975 Mako 19 foot with 1994 Johnson 112. The boat come with a new battery and I had bought a new batter just before I got the boat . I would like to use both on the boat.
I know I can use them both with a peko swith but I really dont have room at the back of the boat on the same side for both batteries and the weight is an issure too.
I really would like to move the battery foward under the console but the battery cabling for the out board would be very expensive.
** can I mount the 1 battery under my console and run my dept findr and vhf radio off it and just charge it when I get home or before I put the boat oon the water?

Yes but recharge it immediately after every use to prolong the life of the battery.
