hey all,

we have a '75 glastron sierra with merc 888 IO... it never had a battery switch and for my own safety and those around me I would like to put one in. however, not sure to put one... im not really fond of the engine cover as a possible location. any ideas? im gonna install new battery cables so i would like this done soon.

thanks for the input :)

put it near the battery, make sure you screw it to something solid as turniong the knob can take a lot of pressure sometimes

Re a bat switch: I would bat right-handed against left-handing pitching, and bat left-handed against right handed pitching. That is the best way to handle bat switching.

I would put the battery switch close to your battery, if you have the space and the money buy another battery. Just make sure your bilge pump is directly attached to your battery.
