I have a 1976 Bayliner Skagit 2250 with a full swim step that has a molded in kicker bracket. The problem is that because of it's close location to the hull, I can't rotate the outboard out of the water very much. When I do, the throttle handle hits the transom and part of the lower unit stays in the water. Is it possible to attach another kicker bracket to the swim step bracket to move the outboard out further so I can rotate the 8 hp 4 stroke Honda out of the water?

I don't see why not. I made one for my boat, laminated two pieces of marine ply, and then routed out for a piece of 1/4" aluminum with radiused corners where the motor sits, varnished it up, and it looks very professional. Doing so will move the motor back, and could also bring it up as well if the motor is plenty deep in the water.
